Members Area
  Objectives History

EGIAN’s main objectives are:

To provide the members with a forum through which to collaborate in order to facilitate an exchange of ideas and information about key international professional developments affecting the accounting and auditing professions in Europe.  This forum, therefore, provides the context and resources for developing common positions on specific issues for submission to key professional stakeholders (e.g. EU, FEE, IFAC, accounting standards-setters, national accounting institutes), in order to raise EGIAN’s position and influence in key professional developments.

To best serve the public interest by acting as a lobby group to these key professional stakeholders to represent the common views and perspectives of the members in relation to key professional debates, legislation etc.
To provide a forum for exchanging ideas and information, as appropriate, in relation to common international management issues facing each member, e.g. funding systems, quality control systems, international and regional organisation, use of websites and intranets, referrals, conference venues, keynote speakers and developed software.
